Gjogv

A small village about 40 miles north of the Faroese capital, Tóshavn, Gjogv is surrounded by mountains on all sides and home to a dramatic gorge. Located on the northeast tip of the island of Eysturoy, this quiet and idyllic town is a great hub for some of the Faroe’s best hiking and walking trails with endless views of the bountiful North Atlantic and surrounding islands.
