The city of Indian Wells is a destination in itself for professional tennis and is the home of the BNP Paribas Open, the fifth largest tournament in the world.
The giant IWTG stadium can fit over 16,000 guests, but when Federer’s not in town, the Tennis Garden offers a number of clinics and practice times, as well as keeping a number of professionals on staff for private matches. While many resorts in the area have tennis courts (although, take note—not all of them), none offer quite the superstar experience like playing in a court surrounded by thousands of seats.
