International Rose Test Garden

400 SW Kingston Ave.

503-823-3636

Established in 1917 by a Portlander who was worried about European rose hybrids and their ability to withstand the ravages of WWI, the International Rose Test Garden boasts roughly 8,000 rose bushes and 590 varieties of the flower. In bloom from April through October (the best month to visit is June), the park also hosts cultural events like concerts, plays and more during this period.
