Land’s End Trail

This popular cliff-side trail starts above the ruins of the Sutro baths, which at the end of the 19^th century comprised the world’s largest indoor swimming pool complex. The buildings burnt down a half-century ago, which is just as well, because the view of the Pacific is more dramatic without them. From there the trail winds through trees and alongside rocks to the northwestern edge of the San Francisco peninsula, in the direction of the Golden Gate strait. You’ll have wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean and the western face of the Golden Gate Bridge along the way.
