54 Merrion Square S, Dublin, Ireland
In between St. Stephen’s Green and the Grand Canal docks, Merrion Square is home to some of the best examples of Georgian architecture in Dublin. Although many of the townhouses that line the square were (and still are) owned by notable individuals and institutions, the most famous is house No. 1, the former home of the author and poet Oscar Wilde. Today, a sculpture of Wilde stands at the entrance to the square's park and fascinates visitors with its unique use of varicolored stones.
