Located near the former Jewish ghetto on the site of Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory, which employed and saved the lives of approximately 1,200 Jews during WWII (this story is immortalized in the film Schindler’s List), this museum details life in Krakow under German occupation. The permanent exhibit, Kraków During Nazi Occupation 1939-1944, has testimonials from Krakow residents, materials including letters, photos and film recordings and more. The museum is fascinating and requires at least two hours to tour it properly. Next door is the MOCAK, a contemporary art museum, which can be visited afterwards if of interest.
