5 Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid
This oasis overflowing with lush gardens and palatial architecture is a blissful escape from the chaotic medina. Built in stages beginning in 1859, the sprawling complex was home to generations of vizier sultans. The intricate mosaic tiles and carvings that adorn the inner courtyards and opulent rooms tell the tales of the extravagance exhibited by Moroccan royals. Groves of palms and banana trees are sprinkled throughout the outer courtyards and provide shade from the scorching sun.
