The oldest museum on the West Coast, the Portland Art Museum was founded in 1892 and resides in a sprawling space on the fringe of downtown Portland. With over 42,000 works of art in the private collection and many rotating exhibits, the museum boasts a comprehensive selection of Pacific Northwest and Native American art, as well as a beautiful outdoor sculpture garden.
