Sahelyion Ki Bari

Udaipur

Built by Maharana Bhopal Singh in 1734, Saheliyon ki Bari or “Courtyard of the Maidens” was developed for the forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of her dowry. The garden is a peaceful sanctuary, full or fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants.
