Porto’s 12th-century Romanesque cathedral is a focal point of the city, from which visitors have excellent views of the surroundings. The structure has been the setting for many important historic moments, like the baptism of the baby who would grow up to become Prince Henry the Navigator. Architecture fans will notice aspects of Gothic and Baroque inflections in the facade as well as the interior.
