Anguilla is home to 33 beaches, all of which are public, making the island a great place to rent a car and explore on your own. A few notable mentions include:
- Rendezvous Bay Beach – With powdery white sand, calm turquoise water and stunning views of St. Maarten in the distance, Rendezvous Bay Beach is a favorite of the island. Be sure to visit The Place for lunch, located on the far east side of the beach—the coconut snapper is exquisite.
- Shoal’s Bay East - This pristine, two-mile stretch of sugary white sand has been named one of the world’s best beaches.
- Maundays Bay – While smaller than a lot of the other beaches on the island, the cove-like shape of the bay protects it from wind and waves, making Cap Juluca’s beach very kid-friendly and one of the best places to go for a calm swim.
- Sandy Ground – Although best know as the island’s bar and restaurant hub, Sandy Ground is also the departure point for most boat trips and a beautiful beach in itself.
