Circus lovers and wannabe acrobats can now give the flying trapeze a try. The Trapeze School of New York started at Chelsea Piers but has found its way to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. Every day in the shadow of the famous ferris wheel amateurs are instructed in the trapeze, trampoline and the art of silks and ropes. Beginner classes are scheduled at specific times during the day and limited to a small group, so it’s best to sign up for lessons or to schedule a private class for your family in advance.
