Fashion fanatics love Antwerp, and yes the shopping is great, but there’s much more to discover:

The Botanic Sanctuary hotel is hands-down the place to stay.
Two favorite restaurants: newcomer Fiera, located in an ancient trading hall, and Sir Anthony van Dijck, in a 1557 building reimagined by Axel Vervoordt.
Of course, you have to stop at Dries Van Noten’s flagship, but for women’s fashion don’t miss La Collection and Christian Wijnants.
Bring home treats from The Chocolate Line.
The Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA) has reopened after a many-year renovation and is a revelation.
The only museum on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Plantin-Moretus house, is a must for decorative arts lovers as much as for book and map fans.
