Christie’s passion for travel and wonder about the world began at an early age. Growing up, her family kept their travels mostly within the U.S. and Canada, spending a lot of time in the great outdoors on camping trips. After college, Christie moved from the midwest to New York City to pursue a career in design. Along the way, she met her husband, who was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan, which is now like a second home. While traveling, Christie loves capturing the local culture and people with photography, as well as sharing her love of learning about the world with her young daughter, who comes along on these adventures. She’s now visited 10 countries together with her family, and that list will continue to grow.

Favorite Travel Memories: Watching her daughter play and interact with a Berber guide in the Sahara desert; witnessing the sunrise at Angkor Wat; roaming freely with elephants in a protected forest in the Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia; staying in a gassho-zukuri farmhouse during winter in Shirakawago, Japan; getting engaged under the Northern Lights in Finland
