Born and raised in Croatia, Iva spent her childhood in Zagreb and on the country's sunny coast. Her family would often travel to neighboring countries such as Italy, Hungary and Austria, where they would immerse themselves in the history and culture of Eastern Europe. Languages have always been Iva's passion; she is fluent in Croatian, English and French and has a conversational knowledge of German, Norwegian and Italian. As a teenager, Iva was an active member of the National Fencing Team and later a trainer of the National Junior Team. After completing hotel school in Switzerland, Iva managed various departments of luxury hotels in St. Moritz, Norway, Hvar, Croatia and Aspen. Prior to moving to New York, Iva lived in Paris for seven years where she worked for private luxury concierge company as the Head of Operations.
