Sofia's first taste of travel came when her family moved from North Carolina to Basel, Switzerland when she was a child. During her time there, she spent weekends exploring small Alsatian and Bavarian towns and learning to ski in the Swiss Alps. Growing up in such an international community gave her the opportunity to make friends from all over the world, and she's been eager to explore as many cultures as possible ever since. A true adventurer at heart, Sofia is happiest exploring new destinations by foot where she can happen upon unexpected gems, meet locals and sample new cuisine. Prior to joining Indagare, Sofia worked in the public relations industry after graduating from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism. She feels lucky to call New York City home and loves the endless opportunities to explore museums and experience different cultures in her own backyard.

Watching wild seal pups play underneath a waterfall in New Zealand; visiting the great Egyptian Pyramids; soaking up all the sights and smells of the spice bazaar in Istanbul
