Review

The Four Seasons Seychelles’s 67 expansive and comfortable rooms and suites and 27 villas plus its amenities, protected beach and overall welcoming vibe make the resort the most family-friendly option in the country. Indeed, the property, which opened in 2009, has managed to convince the world that a destination that was traditionally considered solely for couples and adventurers, is in fact also fabulous for families with kids as young as babies and toddlers.

The rambling, spread-out resort ensures privacy as well as room to run around while also providing the utmost luxury in the form of gorgeous, well-appointed spaces, comfortable beds and beautifully designed décor. Rooms take design cues from traditional Seychelles Creole styles, including plenty of indoor-outdoor space, white linen– and mosquito net–covered beds, thatched and beamed ceilings and local art hung salon style adorning the walls.

All villas boast private infinity pools with expansive decks and beautiful views of the bay, but there is also a lovely pool that abuts the beach and Kannel restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner. Other dining options include the hillside Zez and two lounges, plus in-villa dining that can be arranged on your room’s private deck.

The Four Seasons shines when it comes to its available activities for both kids and adults. Guests can go snorkeling and scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, boating, fishing and sailing. Indagare can also arrange horseback riding, biking trips, helicopter excursions, jet skiing, golf and exploration of the Seychelles islands. There is also an expansive spa with gorgeous views, a yoga pavilion (where complimentary yoga classes are offered daily), an excellent gym and a beachside kid’s club, conveniently set next to the giant tortoise area.

Who Should Stay

The Four Seasons is most ideal for those traveling to the Seychelles with small children in town. Those looking for a more remote, romantic destination might be happier at one of the private island resorts like North Island,Fregate Island or Six Senses Zil Pasyon.
