Review
The first sister property of the 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences is a chic oasis in the heart of Bangkok’s fashionable Thongolor district.
The property, which opened in 2017, consists of 34 luxurious suites and 179 private residences. The residences are comprised of studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments and while spacious and well appointed, they lack the panache of the over-the-top suites. The 34 spectacular suites are replete with fun, zigzagged carpets, graphic floral art prints and sleek, plush furniture. Each has a large balcony with a double daybed for guests to take in the stunning Bangkok skyline. The expansive marble bathrooms feature massive, free-standing circular bathtubs.
Guests of the suites also receive exclusive access to the Leonowens Club, where they can enjoy breakfast and pre-dinner cocktails daily, as well as the Rooftop Infinity Sky Pool.
The style and vibe of the new Bangkok property is completely unique to the original 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, yet the brand still brings their signature personalized, five-star service.
Who Should Stay
Those who value boutique, design-oriented properties, and visitors on their second or third trip to Bangkok, who are comfortable trying out an up-and-coming neighborhood, set away from the Chao Praya River.
