Review

Opened in 2015, the Reverie is a high-design hotel that features opulent furnishings by renowned Italian brands like Provasi, Giorgetti, Visionnaire and Poltrona Frau. Located on the top floors of the Times Square building, the hotel offers soaring views out over the Saigon river and city skyline; these exceptional views are rare in Saigon, and the Reverie is the only property that boasts such panoramas.

The overall design of the hotel is lavish, and a feng shui master, who was consulted in the planning process, stipulated that the building should have rounded corners. Highlights of the Reverie’s design include a 2,000-pound emerald-green Baldi Monumental clock, a purple ostrich leather Colombostile couch with a gold trim and a ceiling installation made with hand-blown Murano glass in the silhouette of Vietnam.

Each of the accommodations is decorated with vibrant fabrics, mosaics and colorful marble, including the noteworthy Saigon suite, which features an Allen dining table and Barrel chairs originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and reproduced by Cassina. All suites have access to the Reverie Lounge, a bi-level space that offers breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails. The top suites have butler service, and guests in the Presidential ones receive an airport transfer in a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Along with the 286 rooms in the main tower, the Reverie also offers 89 furnished apartments that come with a kitchen and laundry facilities, which appeal to families and visitors in town for extended periods of the time. Indagare Tip: Due to the variety of options, please reach out to the Indagare Team for specific room suggestions.

Onsite amenities include an outdoor pool and a 12,000-square-foot fitness center and spa. The signature Five Elements massage, which combines various oils and hot stones, is a particular highlight. The hotel has five different dining venues: the French-inspired Café Cardinal, the Royal Pavilion, which serves Cantonese food, the grab-and-go Deli, the casual Long at Times Square and the R&J Italian Lounge, where a singer croons and LED ceiling blocks display abstract forms.

Who Should Stay

While the Park Hyatt is the top property in town, business travelers or families that want exceptional views over Saigon and over-the-top décor would appreciate the Reverie.
