If you’re touring at Schönbrunn Palace, there are several dining options, but the most authentic is the Gasthaus Tirolergarten near the zoo. This fabulous old tavern is located in a Tyrolean farmhouse that dates to the 18th century (it’s near the wolves’ cages, but can also be accessed from the Schönbrunn park). The menu is classic Austrian fare. They also sell homemade honeys that make wonderful gifts.
