The Prague Zoo is big enough that it’ll be difficult to see it all in during one visit; be certain to get a map when you buy your tickets, so you can be sure to and hit the exhibitions that interest you most. The zoo is remarkably well run and they definitely understand their audience. There are lots of gift shops, with items that are not exclusively Czech but lots of fun, and plenty of food stands and bathrooms as well.

The Flying Chairs ride is tranquil on the way up, and picturesque on the way down, with a stunning panoramic view of Prague. The petting zoo provides the little ones a chance to pet and feed the goats and sheep. They also offer pony rides as well as a miniature tram ride. There’s a kiddy pool too, so if your little ones love the water, you’ll want to bring a change of clothes.

Note: Bring coins if possible to pay for the flying chairs and other activities; should you forget, they do have machines that make change at the flying chair entry, as well as at the petting zoo. Open daily.
