The pretty Provencal village of Mougins may be a far cry from Saint Tropez, but Paloma, in the center of this tiny town is a new hot spot that has livened up the atmosphere. Expect contemporary glitz (crystal chandeliers, black velvet chairs, mirrored dining room) with a hillside vista—but the real draw is the tasty, modern cuisine by Michelin-star chef Nicolas Dercherchi. Best bets: caviar and blini, duck foie gras with almonds and cherries, tortellini with creamy truffle sauce, Moroccan-style lamb and yuzu lemon tart.
