Rosa Alpina has been a part of the Pizzinini family, longtime residents of the region, for over 70 years. Every detail has come from the minds of a Pizzinini family member, making it feel as though you are staying in a stylish friend's home rather than at a hotel. The wood-panel common areas exude cozy charm, with lots of fireplaces, stuffed sofas and armchairs, and nooks for reading and reflecting. The property has just 52 rooms, including 18 suites and 22 rooms, all with mountain views and incredibly cozy yet chic décor. No two of them are alike. Frequent updates have assured that the hotel remains warm and stylish, with rich fabrics, light-wood furnishings and Tyrolean-style antiques. The best ones come with terraces and fireplaces. The Rosa Alpina Spa, now run in partnership with Aman, uses natural and organic products and is a destination in itself, where après-ski indulgences include sport and fitness massages, rejuvenating facials or enriching body treatments.

If your version of  perfect après-ski is more focused on food and drink, the hotel has four restaurants on-property, offering everything from Michelin-starred cuisine to fondue. The hotel’s culinary pièce de résistance is its three-Michelin-starred Restaurant St. Hubertus, which put the Alta Badia region on the culinary map worldwide. The menu features incredible imagination and often-changing items. Unsurprisingly, cooking classes have become sought-after with the famed chef who teaches both adults and children how to make pizza and other local delicacies. Additionally, the hotel renovated two mountain cabins located just at the top of the Piz Sorega gondola where guests can enjoy a BBQ lunch prepared by an onsite chef (and even overnight as a family during the summer months).
