Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 10/16, 00-001 Warszawa, Poland
Miraculously spared from destruction during the Polish partitions and both World Wars, Wilanów Palace—often referred to as the “Polish Versailles”—is a beautiful 17th century royal palace that was built for King John III Sobieski. Inspired by the French Baroque style, Wilanów Palace offers a glimpse at what royal life was like in Poland. Located 20 minutes by car outside Warsaw’s city center, Wilanów Palace has beautiful grounds and an Italian garden, as well as much of the original furniture from when it served as home to Poland’s kings.
