The foundation of philanthropist Ricardo Ribeiro do Espírito Santa Silva preserves 18 traditional crafts in its workshops, where master practitioners restore the great historic objects of Europe, but also train apprentices in such arts as wood marquetry, leather book-binding and decoration, goldsmithing and silk trimming. Objects made in the workshops, both in traditional styles as well as in collaboration with modern designers, are available in this new Chiado showroom. There is also a Museum of Decorative Arts displaying historic furniture, tapestries and more.
