Operating on the belief that food needs little more than love and salt, this Italy-by-way-of-California-restaurant is helmed by chef Michael Fiorelli, formerly of Terranea Resort, and the owners of nearby Farmstand. If the dinner crowd, digging into roasted baby cauliflower with preserved lemon, duck egg pizza and mushroom gnocchi, is any indication, this newcomer has been embraced with open arms. A well-edited selection of Italian and Californian wines round out the meal.
