The latest in a series of Insider Journeys crafted in collaboration with  Design Miami/, this special group trip explores the vibrant world of contemporary art, architecture and design in Guadalajara. On this journey, we will be treated to insider perspectives on the future of art and design in the context of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.

What to Expect

From the chic home base of the AC Hotel Guadalajara, our itinerary invites members to experience exclusive access to the city’s esteemed galleries—including Taller Mexicano de Gobelinos, Hospicio Cabañas, Cerámica Suro Factory and more—led by the Chief Creative Officer of Design Miami/, Rodman Primack.

We will also visit the studios of celebrated modern artists and curators like Jorge Méndez Blake, Julia and Renata Franco, Geovana Ibarra and Jose Dávila, who will lead us on museum and city tours, as well as to unique shopping opportunities and dining experiences at some of Guadalajara’s most innovative restaurants, like Hueso and Alcalde. Our guides will also focus on the striking murals of Jose Clemente Orozco and the highly influential architectural movement of Luis Barragán with walking tours of the many houses and galleries he built throughout the city.
