Diego Rivera 80, San Ángel Inn, Ciudad de México, D.F., Mexico
(52) 55-56-16-14-02
A former hacienda, the San Ángel Inn played host to many notable figures and Mexican aristocracy before it became one of the city’s most venerable restaurants. The menu is similar to that of an upscale European restaurant, but first-time visitors should try the Mexican classics, such as chiles en nogoda and steak arrechera. Be sure to request a seat in the garden courtyard, which has a lovely ambiance and live music.
