Los Tacos No. 1

See Website

If you see a line forming on 43rd street, it’s likely the result of locals and tourists alike lining up for the delicious Los Tacos No. 1. But don’t fret, the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait—these are some of the best tacos in New York City. At the register, you place your order and receive your receipt, which you’ll then hand to the workers behind the counter who will start working their magic on your tacos. There are four options: carne asada (grilled steak), pollo asado (grilled chicken), adobada (marinated pork) and nopal (cactus). You can choose flour or corn tortillas (or a mix of both) and decide whether you would like your tacos con todo (including everything). Finally, stand at the white-tiled countertops enjoying authentic Tijuana tacos while sipping on a Mexican soda.
