Forty Five Ten

Having had the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey and Laura Bush peruse its 8,000 square feet of designer fashions, Forty Five Ten is hardly a secret anymore. The collection changes often, directed by the bold eye of co-owner Shelley Musselman, and includes the handcrafted designs of such couturiers as Sophie Theallet, Proenza Schouler and Yigal Azrouël, as well as of designer darlings like Rick Owens, Derek Lam and Comme des Garçons. There is also a good men’s department as well as an assortment of housewares and beauty products, including Diptyque candles Assouline and Taschen books and glassware by the Sausalito company Roost. The small T Room, serving light fare, is one of the city’s see-and-be-seen lunch spots. There is also a location at Highland Park Village. Closed Sunday.
