The Vineyard

While Australia’s brunch culture hasn’t yet caught up with New York’s, there are a number of great breakfast spots that offer delicious food—and outdoor seating that celebrates the country’s famously perfect weather. Chief among those is the Vineyard in St. Kilda. Although the inside of the restaurant is a bit dreary, the patio overlooks Luna Park, making it a great place for people watching. Even if you are seated inside (the wait for the patio can be long), the food more than makes up for it, as the menu offers Australian takes on classic breakfast dishes like eggs Benedict and bloody mary-style oyster 'shooters.'
