Atemporal, which means “the suspension of time,” accomplishes just that: the 1920’s family home features cool design touches like vintage film posters, contemporary art coffee table books, Peruvian artifacts, sleek lighting and minimalist furniture. The hotel, which feels more like a bed-and-breakfast, offers six rooms divided amongst three categories - we suggest the Grand Rooms for their natural light and bathrooms with standalone tub and double sinks. Each room features a Smart TV with Netflix, air conditioning and heating.

A common space highlight is the lovely lavender-laden garden in the backyard. Here, guests enjoy breakfast and can stop later for a just-back-from-touring beverage on the garden’s couch, the best seat in the house.
