The entrance to Ca Maria Adele is so discreet you are likely to miss it if you aren’t looking for it. Located within a 16th-century building that used to house salt suppliers, the romantic hotel caters particularly to young couples.
With only 12 rooms and suites, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Upon entering the charming building, guests follow a single hallway that leads to the reception desk. On the right is a small lounge area featuring a temporary art exhibit that rotates out every three months or so. The hotel has five deluxe rooms, five concept suites (such as the Doge’s Room and the Oriental Room) and two regular suites. The hallways are dark with navy blue carpet and adorned with Asian art pieces and Buddhist statues. While each room is different, especially the concept rooms, most are outfitted in rich hues and damask fabrics. Two of the rooms are duplexes, with bathrooms on the top floor.
In addition to the small lounge, there is a wonderfully cozy rooftop terrace overlooking the Salute Church where guests can enjoy breakfast or drinks. Apart from these two common areas, there are very few public spaces, as the hotel does not have a proper restaurant, gym or spa.
Due to its small size and fantastic location, the hotel does tend to book up ahead of time, especially during the peak tourism peak season, so guests interested in staying here should inquire well in advance.
