Review
Housed in a 19th-century palace, Can Alomar offers much more than its perfect location, the intersection of Palma’s most elegant streets. The hotel’s allure extends to its aristocratic air and spacious rooms with thick rugs and sumptuous fabrics—many with French doors from which to watch the world go by on charming Sant Feliu below. You can see how art and design are thoughtfully reflected here. Many of the masterpieces by local artists that adorn the communal spaces and bedrooms were specifically created to collaborate with the hotel and its surroundings.
Also a plus: the rooftop, with views of Palma’s Gothic architecture, a tiny pool and jacuzzi, and sun loungers. Perfect too for unwinding is the spa’s array of services, including “holistic rituals,” and featuring all-natural Spanish-made vegan products. However, it’s the warm, efficient service that makes a lasting impression, especially when the hotel offers exclusive services like access to hidden beaches and coves and for exploring Mallorca and its surrounding islands. (Mallorca’s Hotel Valldemossa, further north at the foot Tramuntana mountain range, offers these as well). Although there is no on-site gym, the hotel can arrange outdoor yoga and pilates on request.
