At a Glance
Within walking distance of Oaxaca’s main square, Casa Carmen Morelos is a small boutique hotel with just four rooms, all decked out with art by local artist Amador Montes. Woven pieces mesh with colorful rugs and runners, and outdoor common areas have cactuses, shade trees and lounge chairs. Breakfast is served daily at a communal dining table in the courtyard (think chilaquiles with fried eggs, fresh fruit and Mexican hot chocolate).
