The distinctly modern style of the hotel is juxtaposed with its surrounding antiquity. Sitting adjacent to the Forum and far from the chaos of the shopping district, 47Hotel’s location and more affordable rates make this a good choice for travelers, especially those looking for a retreat. 47Hotel is also quite near the quaint neighborhood of Trastevere, which is filled with restaurants, wine bars and bakeries, and is only a block from the Capitoline Hill. The hotel comprises sixty-one rooms, including nine suites with private balconies, and has a rooftop terrace that overlooks the Temple of Vesta, private cinema, tea room, internal courtyard and billiard room. Each floor has a different theme, ranging from a focus on cinema and music icons like Audrey Hepburn and the Beatles to a floor dedicated entirely to photography. And while guests have access to the hotel’s gym, the nearby Circo Massimo can’t be beat for a morning run. The hotel welcomes children and will arrange babysitters and family-friendly itineraries.
