Review
For travelers to Egypt seeking the full range of Western comforts, the Hilton resort offers all the bells and whistles. The bright and airy common spaces have a sleek North African design, and the expertly manicured grounds feel like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Extensive facilities include a large spa area with multiple pools for families and children to cool off after a day of sightseeing in the sun. There are several bars and restaurants, serving Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. The simple rooms and suites range in size and views (though rooms do tend toward the smaller size in general), but all are comfortable with modern touches. Multiple connecting options work well for families.
Who Should Stay
Travelers requiring full-service amenities and facilities, as well as families traveling with kids, will be happier here. Those who prefer a more central location and stronger sense of place should consider the Old Winter Palace.
