This hotel just down the road from the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc offers a foothold on the same peninsula at a lower price and with less glamour. The former private villa was transformed into a thirty-six room hotel by the son of one of the legendary managers of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Gilbert Irondelle. There’s a flamboyant quality to the décor that may not appeal to those who like an understated aesthetic and the pool and beach areas are cramped but again, for those who want to experience Antibes and don’t need super spoiling, Hotel Imperial Garoupe is a good value option.
