Having just opened in 2020, Il San Corrado di Noto feels so fresh it is hard to reconcile with its history as a farmhouse. The property has been lovingly restored and is now a luxury retreat, surrounded by orchards and olive groves that make for an ideal soft landing in Sicily; lounge by one of the massive pools that are central to the resort, enjoy a leisurely meal of traditional Sicilian dishes, play tennis or decompress at the spa.
There are 26 suites and eight private pool villas on property, all of which are similarly spacious with decor characterized by light woods, neutral tones and ivory linens. The most notable elements of the property are wellness, peace and luxury—all of which are evident in every aspect of the experience, from the discrete five-star service to the superb attention to detail—custom straw hats and beach bags are left for guests in each closet, and there are ceramic vases to hold all bathroom amenities. There is excellent fine dining at Principe di Belludia and the equally enjoyable Casa Pasta, both of which have a menu centered around fresh seafood and vegetables.
The property is located in the countryside about a 15-minute drive from the Baroque city of Noto. It is ideally located for touring the nearby Baroque towns and historical sites of southeast Sicily, as well as for exploring the beautiful seaside of the south, where the hotel has a private beach club. You could easily spend a few nights or even a week in this sanctuary, with so much to explore and a fabulous resort to take advantage of.
