Floating above Ibiza town’s ramparts in a 14th-century tower (classified as a historical monument), this intimate luxury hotel is in the quieter part of the Old Town, near the cathedral. Don’t look for a spectacular exterior, but once you step inside, there’s atmosphere galore, from medieval vaulted ceilings and gleaming tile floors to four-poster beds and antique furnishings. Some of the rooms, like number 5, are apartments with kitchenettes; the deluxe suite number 8 is a favorite with visiting VIPs for its private Jacuzzis on the terrace and magical views of the harbor. Spa treatments can be arranged, and while there is no gym on property, the hotel has an agreement with a nearby fitness center should you wish to work out.
