Review
This intimate haven near Santa Eulària is hidden on a dirt track off the main road (look for the cobalt-blue stone, which signals the turnoff). Here hôtelier Françoise Pialoux has created a paradise with a French touch. From the contemporary art lining the walls to the country-style kitchen, where flavorful dishes are prepared, the restored and stylishly redesigned finca has the feel of a private home. Each of the airy rooms is different, but all are decked out in pale linens draped on the big, comfortable beds and have private terraces or patios; some have pretty mosaic-tiled bathrooms.
High points are the two pools, a patio restaurant enclosed within a tropical garden of bougainvillea and roses and a grass tennis court. The spa is a lovely afternoon retreat, and for those looking to do more than unwind, Les Terrasses offers private cooking classes. You’ll most likely be staying amongst glamorous sylphlike models (the hotel is occasionally rented out for photo shoots) and a mix of Paris sophisticates and arty types.
Who Should Stay
Style seekers will love its white washed, pared down but luxurious feel.
