Llao Llao (pronounced zhaou-zhaou), and meaning ‘sweet sweet’, offers an indulgent introduction to the surrounding region. This historic property was originally built in 1939, in the style of a grand mountain lodge hotel, with massive stone fireplaces and exposed timbers. Located in Argentina’s scenic northwest Patagonia, between Lake Moreno and Lake Nahuel Huapi, Llao Llao offers guests picture-perfect views in every direction.

Llao Llao offers all of the services of a high-end resort, including a huge indoor/outdoor infinity-edge pool, spa, salon, gym, game room and four dining facilities. For those who want to venture off property, the hotel can arrange a wide range of excursions such as fishing expeditions, bike tours, windsurfing and kayaking.

The hotel is divided into two wings, the original building (Bustillo) and the newer Moreno Wing. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed throughout, though the design is a bit dated and old world, with floral-printed duvets and oak accents. The Moreno Wing has air conditioning and more spacious accommodations with better views, but keep in mind that the breakfast room and most facilities are all located in the original building, so it can be a bit of a walk to get there depending on where the room is located.
