Review
Fully renovated in August 2017, the Peninsula Beijing’s excellent location now has fresh, all-suite accommodations to match. The trimming-down from 525 rooms to 230 suites has allowed for more spacious accommodation overall, and more personalized service. Located just a short drive from many of Beijing’s top sights (such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square), you’ll feel like you are within the heart of the city as soon as you step outside the front door.
Excellent cuisine is served in both Jing, their contemporary French restaurant, and Huang Ting, focused on traditional Cantonese fare. Service is delivered with a warmth and sincerity that can be rare in China. Regular upgrades have allowed the hotel to keep up with the many new arrivals at the five-star end of the market. Another bonus is the 5hotel’s proximity to Tiananmen Square and the shops and malls of Wangfujing Street.
