Antananarivo is not likely to be the focal point of any Madagascar itinerary, but an overnight in the capital is often required in between stays at the luxury lodges, and Relais Des Plateaux offers a good solution for getting in and out of the airport on tight connections.
The property has comfortable rooms and tasty food, in a location less than ten minutes from the airport. For those with longer layovers, the spa is wonderful and offers plenty of specialized treatments to aid with jet lag or sore legs after long flights.
