Review
Rosewood properties are lauded across the world for their delightful blend of comfort and sense of place; and Abu Dhabi is no exception. In fact, the hotel group’s first venture into the UAE pays exceptional tribute to its location, drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern architecture and design throughout its rooms and common spaces. The building, which was designed by Handel Architects, has a stunning façade of reflective glass and a striking asymmetrical shape, creating a dramatic silhouette overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The wow factor continues in the hotel’s palatial lobby, which is designed with gold accents and local artwork.
The property’s 154 rooms and 35 suites are classic and comfortable, with contemporary furniture, Egyptian cotton bedding, spacious bathrooms and the pièce de résistance: floor-to-ceiling windows with outstanding gulf views. Guests are spoiled for choice with ten on-property restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines (including Indian, Lebanese, Chinese and Italian) and atmospheres—from an intimate Catalan eatery to a buzzy alfresco cocktail bar. Among the Rosewood’s other attributes is its outstanding nine-room spa, whose gorgeous design elements include beautiful tilework and sleek sculptures, plus an outdoor pool and fitness center.
