This sleek, boutique Design Hotel opened in October 2021 in Jeddah’s City Yard Center (originally under the name "The House Hotel Jeddah"). Saudi architect Ayman AlMehmadi designed the low-rise building to reflect regional culture, as seen in the sandstone facade. The hotel’s interior designers made liberal use of Saudi materials, patterns, colors and crafts in their design, and spaces are decorated with marble, bespoke furniture and artworks created by local artists. The lobby is constantly buzzing with activity, and the hotel houses networking spaces, as well as health and wellness areas including a spa, gym and rooftop pool lined with olive trees overlooking the Jeddah skyline.
The hotel has 101 rooms and 13 suites, each with a light and bright atmosphere. All are outfitted with marble bathrooms and custom furniture—like high-quality walnut features in the headboards inspired by geometric patterns of Islamic art.
This City Yard is quickly becoming the city’s new lifestyle hub, and so the hotel’s immediate surroundings are rich with coffee shops and restaurants. On-property dining options include Baker & Spice, a Middle Eastern fusion all-day cafe, and Azha Cafe in the lobby, which offers a selection of craft-roasted and Saudi-grown coffees, as well as pastries.
Tip:This location can be particularly loud on the weekends (Thursday and Friday night) so be sure to request a room facing the street rather than the piazza to limit noise.
