Review

Formerly the Trump Soho (until 2018), this hotel is big, brilliant and blinged-out. The 391-room, 46-story property boasts floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, 132 suites and eight penthouses (decked out with pool tables and Acqua di Parma products.) Onsite amenities include a 24-hour gym (trainers can be arranged), fabulous spa and a concierge program that caters to any whim.

Room categories go up in price and size according to the floor, but all abide by a modern design aesthetic with sleek furniture (such as Fendi Casa chocolate leather headboards) and have city views beginning at the 20th floor. Bath products are by Kate Somerville, and many guest rooms have double vanities. There are four connecting rooms per floor, so families have options in most room categories.

The spa is one of the biggest draws of The Dominick—the Turkish- and Moroccan-inspired bi-level retreat is a convincing escape from the bustling city, especially for those staying in one of the two spa suites, one of which has a private steam room. The spa is also home to indoor and outdoor relaxation centers, and boasts the only luxurious hammam in New York.

Who Should Stay

Guests looking for a downtown scene with great views, a comparably large gym and spa, and shops at your doorstep.
