Centrally-located in Prague's medieval Old Town, The Emerald’s 13 apartments invite guests to live like a stylish local.
Review
The Emerald is a passion project of hedge fund manager-turned-entrepreneur Pierre Emmanuel Dionnet of Urbanium Concept, a high-design project management company that transforms buildings and private properties into veritable works of art. Dionnet purchased The Emerald’s Art Nouveau building from a local Jewish family who had owned it since 1906 and converted it into a trendy, apartment-style hotel. The boutique property is located in Josefov, the ancient Jewish quarter within Prague’s historic Old Town, and offers easy access to many nearby sites, including the Jewish Cemetery, the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, but its immediate neighborhood still feels quiet and removed from the tourist fray. The 13 minimalist apartments, each inspired by a different style and vision, are exquisitely designed and furnished entirely with local Czech items. The apartments, which are serviced by a concierge team, are available for short-term rental as well as art exhibits or photoshoots, and magazines such as *Elle*and *Dolce Vita*have already shot spreads in the unique space. For larger groups, the apartments can also be connected to create two-, three- or four-bedroom accommodations.
