Occupying the site of the old Rosenwach Factory—the manufacturer of New York’s iconic wooden water towers that still dot the skyline—the Hoxton was built as both a workplace for local creatives as well as a hotel. The massive lobby, with its cafe vibe, exposed brick walls and highly arched ceiling, pays homage to the site's former life, while its stylish accommodations and retro furnishings add the perfect amount of trendiness.

All 175 rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, king beds and contemporary light fixtures. Some even have exquisite views of the New York skyline. The rooms offer king-sized beds, dark wood-paneled writing desks and contemporary lighting fixtures. Though relatively small, even for New York standards, rooms feature thoughtful, local touches such as linens designed by New York’s own Dusen Dusen and the neighborhood survival guide.

Perhaps the most stunning and exciting of the Hoxton’s three bars and four event spaces is the rooftop restaurant, Laser Wolf, though K’Far and Jaffa Cocktail and Raw Bar are worth visiting, too.

While the Hoxton encourages guests and locals to lounge and relax throughout its many public spaces, the hotel does not have a spa or a gym. That being said, if you’re looking to get your blood flowing, they do offer guests complimentary bicycles to explore the neighborhood.
