The only five-star hotel on Kauai's Southeast coast, Timber’s Ocean Club and Residences recently opened its doors to enthusiastic reception, as the selection of luxury hotel product on the island is slim. The hotel is made up of two buildings that are comprised of two- to four-bedroom apartment-style accommodations, with each apartment featuring a full kitchen, living space and a private terrace with space for lounging, grilling or entertaining. Additionally, since the apartments have full kitchens, guests can arrange for groceries to be purchased during their stay, or in advance with pre-stocking.

The restaurant is located in the main building, as is the stunning infinity pool, jacuzzi and all-day restaurant. Near the restaurant, there is also some outdoor games and a fire pit, which acts as the perfect place to wind down while taking in the sunset and sipping on a cocktail after a long day of golf and beach activities. The second building, a three-minute walk from the main lobby is where the gym, spa and second large pool and jacuzzi are located. There are plenty of sunbeds for all to enjoy, free valet or self-parking and plenty of amenities available at the tip of your fingers for the perfect D.I.Y. stay.

The apartment interiors themselves are clean and crisp and emulate a calm beach with white and beige sand tones combined with warm ocean blues and teals. The spacious accommodations are decorated with beachy motifs like shell chandeliers, sea glass lamps and granite counters, which enhances the polished-yet-comfortable ambience without taking away from the real draw to Kauai: the gorgeous natural surroundings of deep blue ocean and palm trees.
